Former ISI chief admits funding BNP during 1991 elections: A former Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) chief, Asad Durrani, has admitted that the spy agency had funded main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) during 1991 general elections as he was summoned to testify in a case before the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on March 14. The SC issued notices to Durrani in a decade-old pending case of retired Air Marshal Asghar Khan. Financial Express, March 17, 2012.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina accuses BNP leader Khaleda Zia for trying to save the War Criminals: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on March 14 reiterated her resolve to try the War Criminals on the soil of Bangladesh. Addressing the opposition leader Khaleda Zia of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), she commented, "You cannot save them". Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina accuses BNP leader Khaleda Zia of receiving ISI money: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on March 8 accused opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Khaleda Zia of receiving money from Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) ahead of 1991 general elections of Bangladesh. Hasina's comments came four days after the United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Khaleej Times reported that ISI paid Zia Rs 500 million ahead of the 1991 elections "to help her in polls against Hasina Wajid's Awami League generally perceived by Pakistan's security establishment as pro-India". US Special Forces are in Bangladesh, says USPACOM chief Admiral Robert William: US Pacific Command (USPACOM) chief Admiral Robert Willard told lawmakers at a Congressional hearing on March 1 that US Special Forces teams are currently stationed in five South Asian countries, including Bangladesh, as part of the counter-terrorism co-operation with these nations. He stated, "We have currently special forces assist teams laid down in Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and India as part of the effort to enhance their counter-terrorism capabilities." bdnews24, March 3, 2012.
