"BNP-Jamaat wants to come to power again through militancy in Pakistani-style by misguiding people in the name of religion. So, they're involved in conspiracy. All will have to remain vigilant to crush their conspiracy," she said. UNB Connect, August 28, 2013.

The declaration came on August 26, at a views-exchange meeting organised by Islami Dalsamuha (alliance of Islamic parties) at the head office of Bangladesh Khelafat Andolon (BKA) in Dhaka's Lalbagh area. Daily Star, August 27, 2013.

JMB is still trying to reorganize on a small scale, says RAB Legal and Media Wing Director A.T.M. Habibur Rahman: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Legal and Media Wing Director A.T.M. Habibur Rahman on August 16 said that the Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) is still trying to reorganize, albeit on a "very small scale". He stated, "With its whole network dismantled, the banned militant outfit has almost no strength left to carry out any subversive activity. Some JMB members were recently caught printing leaflets and posters, suggesting that they were active…but they will never succeed as RAB members across the country are always on alert to arrest them." Supreme Court turns down JeI's petition for stay on Dhaka High Court verdict declaring registration of JeI illegal: The Dhaka High Court (HC) verdict declaring illegal Jamaat-e-Islami's (JeI) registration with the Election Commission as a political party will remain in force as the chamber judge of the Bangladesh Supreme Court has turned down JeI's petition for stay on the verdict on August 5. The Chamber Judge, Justice A.H.M. Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik, rejected Jamaat's petition, saying that there is no logical ground in the petition for staying the HC verdict. Dhaka High Court declares JeI registration illegal: The Dhaka High Court (HC) on August 1 declared the registration of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), the biggest right-wing party of Bangladesh, as illegal. A three-member special bench of Justice M. Moazzam Husain, Justice M. Enayetur Rahim and Justice Quazi Reza-Ul Hoque passed the judgement accepting a writ petition challenging the legality of JeI's registration as a political party. The petition filed by the secretary general of the Bangladesh Tariqat Federation Syed Rezaul Haque Chandpuri and 24 other leaders of the Federation on January 25, 2009, said the JeI was a religion-based political party and it did not believe in independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh. The Court in its verdict observed: "By majority, rule is made absolute and registration given to Jamaat by the Election Commission is declared illegal and void. It is hereby declared illegal." Daily Star, August 1-2, 2013.
